  • How long can I keep a dumpster?
TriStar Services offers flexible rental periods tailored to your project needs. Each rental includes 7 days by default, with the option to add extra days as needed (additional day charges vary by dumpster size).
  • What is daily rental?
Daily rental charges only apply if you keep the dumpster beyond the included rental period. If you schedule a container exchange before reaching your included days, your rental clock resets—no extra charges.
  • What is included in the price?
Each rental includes a specific tonnage. The haul price covers your rental as long as you stay within the included tons. If your load exceeds the limit, you’ll be notified after pickup and billed for the overage.
  • Do I need a permit for my dumpster?
Permit rules vary based on location. Here's what to know: You may not need a permit for driveways, but streets or public areas often require one. Check with your local municipality, HOA, or Improvement District. Be ready to provide the dumpster size, placement location, duration, and work hours. Some authorities may ask how you’ll keep the area secure and clean. Note: Customers in specialized service zones or under municipal contracts may have different requirements.
  • What is the maximum weight I can load into a dumpster?
While containers vary in size, 10 tons is the maximum legal limit per load due to truck carrying capacity. Even if your dumpster fits more, our trucks can’t haul beyond this. Be especially mindful when disposing of heavy materials like concrete, brick, or dirt.
  • Can I place yard waste in the dumpster?
Yard waste is restricted in many areas and may not be allowed, especially in certain states or in construction-only dumpsters. Always check our list of Prohibited Materials before booking to stay compliant.
  • What if I fill the dumpster early?
No problem—just contact us or log in to your TriStar Services account to request an early pickup or an exchange.
  • Are all dumpster sizes available online?
Yes! The sizes shown online reflect real-time availability in your area. If you need a size that isn’t listed or have special requirements, just let us know—we’ll do our best to accommodate your project.
  • How do I request a pickup or removal?
To schedule a dumpster pickup or permanent removal, simply contact us directly by phone, text, or email. Let us know: Your name and service address Whether you need a pickup, exchange, or final removal Your preferred date We’ll confirm your request and send you the details. It’s quick, easy, and we’re here to help!
  • What can I expect on delivery day?
We’ll notify you when your driver is en route. You can also log into your account to view your delivery window up to 24 hours in advance.
  • Are there any extra fees or taxes?
Prices shown are in USD and may include fuel surcharges, regulatory recovery, or recycling offset charges, depending on your region. All applicable taxes and administrative fees will be clearly displayed before checkout.
  • What materials are not allowed in my dumpster?
To ensure safe and compliant disposal, certain materials are not allowed in any TriStar Services roll-off dumpster, regardless of whether your rental is temporary or permanent. Local regulations, dumpster size, and disposal site requirements may impact what can and cannot be accepted. If you're unsure how to dispose of a specific item, please contact us for guidance. Prohibited Items – All Dumpsters Aerosol cans All liquids (including paint, fuel, and chemicals) Animals Antifreeze Appliances Asbestos Barrels Batteries Bricks* Chemical products Computers Concrete* Contaminated oils (mixed with solvents, gasoline, etc.) Demolition materials* Dirt* Fluorescent tubes Hazardous waste Herbicides and pesticides Industrial waste Lubricating/hydraulic oil Medical waste Microwaves Monitors Motor oil Oil filters Other flammable liquids Paint (liquid paint is prohibited; dried latex cans may be accepted) Petroleum-contaminated soil / lead paint chips Propane tanks Radioactive material Railroad ties Solvents Televisions Tires Transmission oil Yard waste* * Note: Items such as concrete, bricks, dirt, yard waste, and demolition debris may require a specialized dumpster due to weight limits and local regulations.
